Report to the police immediately

Go to the nearest police box (ไบค็•ช) and file a loss report. You will receive a 'Certificate of Loss' (้บๅคฑๅฑŠๅ—็†่จผๆ˜Žๆ›ธ) which is required for embassy procedures.

Contact your country's embassy

Contact your country's embassy or consulate in Japan. Most are located in Tokyo. You will need to apply for an emergency passport or a Certificate of Identity to leave Japan.

Notify Immigration

If you are a foreign national residing in Japan, you must also notify your local immigration bureau within 14 days.
